Yutougao, which can be literally translated into taro cake, is cooked from steamed taro, rice flour, chipped mushrooms, shrimp meat, smoked pork and other seasonings.

Five-color sticky rice is a must-have food in Hechi during the Qingming Festival. The festival falls on April 5 to worship past ancestors. It can be eaten directly after steaming or can be cooked into fried rice.

Juanfen is a special food originating from Bama county. Its main ingredient is a sheet jelly made from rice. It is cooked with roast sausage, fried peanuts and other seasonings according to personal taste.

Du'an Suan are cold dishes pickled with brown sugar, which have a mixed taste of sweetness, sourness and a touch of spiciness, making them a popular treat among local residents.
