Tourism projects go well in Hechi
A group of officers and workers from the tourism sector recently had a meeting with the top official of Hechi, a city in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, to address the projects underway in Donglan county.
Adapting the strategy of Internet Plus Tourism, the county has attracted a number of domestic tourism enterprises from economically developed regions, which has provided approximately 170 jobs for local residents.
Donglan tourism projects kicked off on Jan 18, 2015. According to Wu Jinzhi, chairman of a local tourism company, Donglan has taken a year to do research and inspections before beginning the projects. The Hongshuihe River Scenic Area was opened to the public after months of preparation, with 31 bamboo rafts and 64 wooden boats to be used for recreational cruising.
The tourism projects, Wu said, will focus on equipment construction, e-commerce, big data, and production of agricultural products, to promote development.
Hechi is famous for the local residents' high average life expectancy, thanks to its well-protected environment and pleasant living conditions, which encourages the city to pursue a green and harmonious development strategy.
