Tian'e-Fengshan secondary road construction on track

Workers have begun laying cement for the secondary road from Tian'e to Fengshan in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on March 22, in line with the project's construction plan.

The Tian'e-Fengshan (Fengshan section) Secondary Road is a renovation project for the National Highway G243, a dry and increasingly arid area. Construction started on the road in May 2014, so far running through three towns and eight villages.

The total length of the three-lane road is 58.65 kilometers, with a width of 8.5 meters.

With a projected design speed of 40 kph, the estimated total investment for the project is about 497 million yuan ($76.24 million), 308.5 million yuan of which comes from state subsidies.
