Hechi holds sports meet for female workers
Hechi's sports meet for female workers in governmental institutions was held at the city's gymnasium on March 4.
Hechi Deputy Party Secretary Tang Biaowen announced the opening of the sports meet. Ma Nanping, a member of Hechi's municipal Party committee, and Ma Dankui, vice chairman of the Hechi Municipal Political Consultative Conference, also attended the opening ceremony.
The sports meet lasted for three days, with four competition events in total. More than 1,000 workers from 78 local government institutions participated in the event by forming 58 balloon volleyball teams, 19 table-tennis teams, 63 silk ball catching teams and 36 tug-of-war teams.
The sports meet was aimed at mobilizing women to take part in physical exercise and helped to encourage healthy lifestyles.
