Hechi: 2016 culture and sports development plans

Hechi in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region plans to accelerate the development of culture and sports in its urban and rural areas this year.

To speed up the construction of infrastructure, the city plans to build 80 more village-level public service centers, 30 radio and television broadcast stations and 20 digital rural libraries.

Hechi will continue to open public museums and stadiums free of charge and offer movie shows in rural areas.

It also plans to organize more than 120 performances in towns and villages, as well as make full preparations for the 17th Hechi Bronze Drum and Folk Song Art Festival and the Shangsi Festival in March.

Moreover, the local government will promote national fitness activities and will hold a series of events coordinated with the 8th Guangxi Sports Festival as well as continuing to organize the Donglan-Bama-Fengshan mountain biking event.

In 2016, the city will also train 500 secondary instructors of social sports and 100 referees to assist 1,000 tertiary instructors of social sports.
