Bama included in national whole-region tourism
Bama Yao autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi was recently included in the list of the first batch of national whole-region tourism demonstration areas.
The enrollment process had three steps: voluntary declaration by governments of Bama and Hechi; recommendation from Guangxi's tourism development committee and expert review organized by the National Tourism Administration.
The list included a total of 262 cities and counties in China, 10 of which are in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Whole-region tourism aims to promote the region as a whole rather than focusing of specific scenic areas, in order to improve integrated tourism marketing.
The plan also aims to create an innovated, coordinated, green, open and sharable tourism industry and construct a new form of tourism development.
