Hechi students' winter vacation starts on Jan 23 next year

Winter vacation for Hechi's kindergartens, primary and middle schools will stretch for 32 days from Jan 23 to Feb 23, according to a document released by the local education bureau on Dec 21.

The registration date for the 2016 spring semester is Feb 24 and classes will begin the next day.

The document requires education departments and schools in counties and districts to strictly follow teaching plans, strengthen teaching management and pay attention to final exams and summaries. Before the winter vacation, schools must also carry out safety education to enhance teachers' and students' self-protection awareness and ability.

The document clearly states that teachers and students should make resting the principal goal during vacation. Making up missed lessons or teaching new group lessons are forbidden. Commercial cram schools and advanced classes are not allowed during the winter vacation.
