Guangxi accelerates rural roads construction

In recent years, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has been striving to construct more rural roads to improve traffic conditions in rural areas.

Guangxi invested more than 10 billion yuan ($1.58 billion) to implement the "thousands village roads unobstructed" project in 2012. Nearly 90 percent of villages in Guangxi have embraced cement roads by 2014.

This year, Guangxi's road management department continues to carry out the project and plans to build roads in more than 1,000 villages.
