Yizhou's sixth Liu Sanjie Cultural Tourism Festival kicks off

The opening ceremony for the sixth Liu Sanjie Cultural Tourism Festival was held in Yizhou, a county-level city of Hechi, Guangxi, on Oct 18.

The festival is jointly sponsored by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Tourism Development Committee and Hechi municipal people's government.

Yizhou's Mayor Liang Ning hosted the opening ceremony and Hechi's Deputy Mayor Li Li announced the opening. Li said that Hechi municipal Party committee and government have been striving to develop local tourism industry.

As the hometown of the famous Zhuang singer – Liu Sanjie, Yizhou is making continuous efforts to develop into a famous tourism county in Guangxi. The festival will further enhance Yizhou's popularity and help promote Yizhou and Hechi's cultural tourism industry.

The opening ceremony showed Yizhou's profound cultural richness through songs, dances, Cai Diao Opera, Guangxi Opera and folk stunts.

The month-long festival includes a total of 23 activities. Some new activities have been added to this year's festival, such as the opening ceremony for Huaiyuan ancient town, "White Dragon Cup" Football Match and the Cultural Seminar on Yizhou's Folk Songs and Poems.

Yizhou strives to integrate into Guilin and Bama international tourism areas. It aims to enhance its touristic services and develop local tourism into a significant pillar industry by taking advantage of its location.
