Hechi students win national education awards

Three Hechi students recently won awards in a national teenager patriotism reading and education activity in Beijing, the Hechi Daily reported.

Gan Luming from Yizhou and Wei Yaxin from Jinchengjiang district won the first and second prizes respectively in the story-telling competition of the activity. Wei Lisong from the Huanjiang Maolao autonomous county won the first prize in essay competition.

Guangxi sent a total of four students to participate in the story-telling competition. Three students, including two from Hechi, made it to the final.

This represents an important breakthrough for Hechi in terms of the number and the level of the prizes won in a national competition since the national teenager reading and education activity was launched in 1993.
