Hechi completes first police training school
The construction completion ceremony of Hechi Police Training School was held on July 27, ending Hechi's status as lacking such a facility for the local police force, the Hechi Daily reported.
Wen Jianzhong, Hechi's deputy mayor and police commissioner, expressed warm welcome and gratitude to guests present at the ceremony. He said that the school would explore new police training patterns and construct new training systems to enhance the comprehensive quality and fighting capacity of Hechi's police.
Also acting as a training base for Hechi's police, the school received total investments worth 13 million yuan ($2.1 million). Covering an area of 11,933 square meters, it includes administrative offices, dormitories, canteens, classrooms, training rooms, reading rooms, a playground and a shooting gallery. The school has 150-student capacity.
The engineering project of the training school was approved in March 2013 and started construction in May 2014. The construction has been completed in 14 months.
