Hechi issues first medical bank card

Hechi held a launch ceremony for its first medical bank card on July 31, Hechi Daily reported.

The card is jointly released by Liuzhou Bank and Nandan County People's Hospital. It allows residents to complete all medical processes without having to use cash.

The medical bank card can function as both a patient ID card in Nandan County People's Hospital and a financial debit IC card in Liuzhou Bank. It holds personal basic information, including previous treatment process and medical prescriptions, paving the way for efficient medical and financial services.

"The release of the medical bank card is a bold trial on the part of Nandan in terms of innovating service patterns and enhancing service levels. It is of great significance in increasing the county's medical informatization management ability and promoting the economic and social development," said Wei Hongmei, deputy county chief of Nandan in Hechi.

People can obtain medical bank cards either at the self-help card dispenser machines at Nandan County People's Hospital or at the counter of Liuzhou Bank's Nandan branch. Applicants' identity card is needed in both locations.
