Hechi Literary Federation held a signing ceremony for what is known as the "1+2" Tutorship Project on July 18.
A total of 34 Hechi students who have potential in literature, calligraphy and photography formally established master and apprenticeship relations with their tutors by signing agreements.
The "1+2" Tutorship Project means that one litterateur acts as a tutor and provides free specific and comprehensive guidance to two students in literary creation for two years.
According to Pan Hongri, chairman of Hechi Literary Federation, the tutorship project is an attempt in cultivating Hechi's local literary talents. If the first stage works well, the federation will employ masters in more fields such as painting, music, dance, drama, movie, folk art and theory of literature and art.
In recent years, art and culture in Hechi has received increasing attention, making steady progress. The city has a total of 75 national-level, 601 provincial-level and 1,784 city-level members in 10 artistic categories.
