Hechi's CPI in May experiences low changes

Hechi's Consumer Price Index (CPI) in May increased 0.2 percent compared with the same month last year, according to Hechi investigation team of National Bureau of Statistics.

The prices of food, tobacco and liquor, clothing, household facilities articles and maintenance services, and residences all increased slightly in May compared with the same period last year.

Hechi's CPI in May decreased 0.5 percent compared with April. The 1.6 percent decrease of food prices was the main reason for the drop of general prices.

The price of fresh vegetables decreased 8.9 percent and fresh fruit fell 7.1 percent compared with prices in April.
