Zhanjiang tourist train reaches Nandan

The first dedicated tourist train from Guangdong's Zhanjiang arrived at Nandan county in Hechi, Guangxi, at 07:30 on May 1.

After 12 hours, more than 300 Guangdong tourists started their May Day holiday in Nandan.

In recent years, Nandan has become a popular tourist destination with the improvement of local tourism infrastructure and the introduction of new scenic spots. Tourist groups from Nanning, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Maoming and Foshan have chosen Nandan as a new destination successively.

In the past, tourists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao needed to arrive at Nanning first and then headed for Nandan by coach. The opening up of the new train offers convenience to tourists and helps save time.

According to officials of the local railway department, the train will work without a schedule and depend on tourists' requirements.
