Nandan first uses facial recognition system in social security
Nandan county took the lead in using a facial recognition system for social security in Hechi, Southwest China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The county started to employ the system to identify retired cadres on April 9.
More than 3,900 retired staff from local enterprises and public institutions were recognized by the system. The work was expected to end before the end of June. In the future, they will be able to verify their identities through a special website, without worries of remote distance.
The measure not only provided convenience for the retired cadres, but also guaranteed the security of social security funds.
The facial recognition system will soon be used throughout the Guangxi region.
