The Luocheng Mulao autonomous county's administration of radio, film and television is recruiting a professional language announcer, director and executive producer in the Mulam language to guarantee the smooth broadcast of the program.

Located in Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Luocheng is China's only Mulam autonomous county. It has a total Mulam population of 120,000, accounting for 73 percent of the ethnic group's members in the whole country.

After more than 30 years' development, all of the county's major economic indicators have increased over 30 times. It now has formed an industrial development pattern focusing on mineral, agriculture and forest products, cement and water resources. Shiwei village is rated as a Chinese ethnic characteristic village and the Mulam Yifan Festival is included in the protection list of the national intangible cultural heritage.

In order to better preserve, inherit and develop Mulam distinctive culture, Luocheng's Party committee and government decided to add a Mulam language program to local TV. The recruitment of a professional Mulam language announcer, director and executive producer started on April 7 and will end on May 7. The program is planned to start broadcasting in June.

The broadcasting of the Mulam language program will better publicize the national policies and regulations in Mulam mountain areas and promote the cultural heritage and development of Mulam ethnic group.
