Nandan's tourism reaches new high in first quarter

A total of 468,600 tourists visited Nandan in the first quarter of the year, according to Nandan county’s travel department.

Domestic tourism revenue reached 398 million yuan ($64 million), an increase of 19.16 percent, and the income from 1,480 inbound tourists stood at $559,700, a growth of 14.2 percent over the same period last year. Gross tourism income in the first quarter reached a new high.

With the brand effect of Baikuyao village and the opportunity of establishing a national culture ecological characteristic county, Nandan in Hechi, Guangxi, has created a tourism industry system providing meals, lodging, transportation, shopping and amusement.

At present, Nandan has three 3A national scenic spots, two national industrial tourism demonstration areas, two national leisure agricultural tourism demonstration spots and a national water recreation area. The county strives to promote its tourism brand and attract more tourists with a series of tourism festivals, promotion activities and modern media.
