The Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county recently established a Forest Right Transaction Management and Service Center, offering a convenient service and financing platform for forest workers and operators.

The main responsibilities of the center is to guide the reform of forest property rights, handle ownership registration of forest lands, manage forest right mortgage loan registration, release information on forestry property mortgage, circulation and transaction, and provide policy consultation service on forest laws and regulations.

In recent years, the forest industry of Huanjiang county in Hechi, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has grown rapidly, attracting a large number of foreign merchants with the continuous rising selling price.

At the end of 2014, the county had a total of 4.92 million mu (328,000 hectares) of forest and the forest coverage rate stood at 72 percent. By March 20 this year, Huanjiang has managed 194 cases of forest right mortgage loan registration, with a total loan amount of 243 million yuan ($39.17 million).

Huanjiang’s Forest Right Transaction Management and Service Center is Hechi’s first normalized service center in forest right management. The establishment of the center marks the beginning of the effective integration of Huanjiang’s forest industry with local capital, technology, information and property, and construction of a fair, just and open development environment for the forest industry.
