Hechi's national tax bureau had collected a total of 542.12 million yuan ($87.36 million) as of March 23 this year, 49 million yuan more than the amount collected in 2014 and a 9.95 percent increase.

With the substantial growth of the hydroelectric industry, the amount generated through Hechi's corporate income tax increased by 64.74 percent this year at 78.56 million yuan.

Also influenced by an increase in tax revenues from the hydroelectric industry, Donglan county, Dahua Yao autonomous county; Bama Yao autonomous county; and Tian'e county achieved tax increases of 100.70 percent, 85.79 percent, 47.84 percent and 37.60 percent respectively. For other reasons, Du'an Yao autonomous county, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, Fengshan county and Jinchengjiang district achieved a 23.88 percent, 21.54 percent, 16.64 percent and 13.28 percent increase in taxes respectively.

Affected by factors such as the continuous low prices of nonferrous metals, Nandan county’s national tax bureau suffered an tax revenue decline of 37.70 percent. Moreover, the tax revenues of Yizhou and Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county decreased by 15.02 percent and 6.41 percent respectively.
