Third tung blossom festival to start

Hechi’s Tian’e county in Guangxi will hold the third tung blossom festival on March 28. A total of 80,000 mu (5,333 hectares) of tung flowers are currently in full bloom waiting to be admired by tourists from all directions.

With the principles of government guidance, hard work, thrift and folk culture promotion, Tian’e county is to hold the tung blossom festival for the purpose of displaying the unique charm of the Lanyi Zhuang ethnic group’s folk culture and promoting the local tung flower cultural tourism industry.

The activity content is as follows:

1. Folk culture seminar of the Lanyi Zhuang ethnic group

Time: 15:00-17:00 on March 27

Site: the meeting room of the market town’s visitor center

Content: discuss about the ethnic cultural development of the Lanyi Zhuang minorities

Participants: ethnic cultural research experts of Tian’e, Hechi and Guangxi; members of the Guangxi Writers’ Association; media reporters and so on
