The Donglan county people’s court successfully reported two criminal cases to officials of the criminal tribunal of Hechi Intermediate People’s Court through a remote video visiting center on the afternoon of March 19. With clear picture and smooth audio, the long-distance report has little difference with the face-to-face report.

In 2014, Hechi Intermediate People’s Court put more than 200,000 yuan ($32,232) towards building the remote video visiting center, which is equipped with a high-definition integrated video terminal, client PC and synchronous sound and video cassette recorder.

The visiting center enables the two courts to communicate judicial cases by a video link, display evidences and send documents immediately, greatly improving the efficiency of the work and help to save expenditure.

The case report was the first time for the two Hechi courts to give an account of a judicial case by remote video after the establishment of the remote video visiting system. Its success has laid a solid foundation for the two courts in Hechi to communicate and report cases by video.
