The three-day festival attracted nearly 20,000 local people and nonlocal tourists. There were an array of colorful activities such as a Maguai folk culture performance, traditional ethnic sports competition, Hongshui River Basin grand singing gathering and rare stone and root carving exhibition.

Tian’e county is the core area of Hongshui River’s bronze drum ecological culture and has an abundance of ecological tourism resources – the national AAAA Longtan Grand Canyon in Tian’e being a prime example.

Tian’e puts heavy emphasis on protecting the area’s national folk culture. The Hongshui River Cultural Tourism Festival depicts the unique charm of the Maguai culture of the Zhuang ethnic group and the ecological culture and health preserving culture of Tian’e county.
