Hechi holds opening ceremony for Jincheng Art Academy

Hechi held the opening ceremony of the Jincheng Art Academy and its creation base at the Jincheng Mountain Villa on Jan 28. Following the ceremony, leaders from the Hechi municipal publicity department and experts from the art circle attended a creation forum of the celebration.

At the forum, Tan Liqiang, the dean of the Jincheng Art Academy, said that the goal of the academy was to research, inherit, develop and carry forward traditional Chinese art and to make it possible for businessmen, artists and art lovers to exchange their ideas. The academy will focus on spreading traditional art, researching the skills of calligraphy and painting, cultivating talented young people, and providing services in painting and calligraphy for the government, enterprises and individuals.

The academy has employed 33 academics who specialize in calligraphy and painting. Moreover, Jincheng Mountain Villa and Shuiyunxuan Hotel provided land and money for the construction of the creation base at the Jincheng Art Acedemy. The academy exhibited more than 30 paintings and calligraphy works on the day.
