Hechi gains laurels in spring festival couplets competition

Hechi gained three gold, five silver, and 10 bronze awards at the recent Guangxi 2015 Spring Festival Couplets Collection Activity.

The activity helps to promote socialist core values as well as the socialist spirit for the rule of law and was co-sponsored by the Guangxi Party Committee Publicity Department, Guangxi Spiritual Civilization Construction Office, the Federation of Literature and Art of Guangxi, and Guangxi’s Chinese Culture Promotion Society. This year’s theme was entitled “Joy, Encouragement, Harmony”.

The activity received a positive response from couplets fans all over Hechi. Among the 84 couplets that Hechi submitted to the sponsors, 18 of them won gold, silver and bronze awards, and three won honorable mentions.

The Guangxi Spring Festival Couplets Collection Activity has been held consecutively for nine years since 2006. Every year, people can find the names of Hechi residents on the activity’s awards list. With increasing creative capability, Hechi’s couplet experts continued the glory this year.
