A new chapter in Huanjiang’s transportation infrastructure is underway, following the commencement ceremony for the Huanjiang Third Bridge on Jan 14. The new bridge, in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, will be constructed with the hope of relieving traffic pressure and improving the traffic environment.

The Huanjiang Third Bridge, which faces an east-west direction, will begin at the intersection of Minzu Road and Golden Ring Avenue in the west and end at the intersection of Qiaodong Road and Da’an Road in the east.

The total length of the infrastructure will be 646 meters, including a 374 meter bridge and 272 meters of approach roads. The width of the bridge will be 23.5 meters. The expected time limit for the project is two and a half years, with an initial budget of 136 million yuan ($21.88 million). The speed limit on the bridge will be set at 40 kilometer/hour.
