On Dec 8, the specialist inspection team of Guangxi Tourism Development Committee carried out an acceptance check at the Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park in Tian’e county, Hechi, Guangxi.

The Park was recognized as a national level forest park in 2008 and was approved as a national 3A-level scenic spot in 2010. As the only national forest park in Hechi, the Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park has a forest coverage rate of 96.41 percent.

In January, 2012, Tian’e county officially launched the 4A-level scenic spot project of Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park. The county government successively invested over 30 million yuan ($4.8 million) into the project and improved the construction of its infrastructure and reception service facilities. The Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park officially opened to the public in January, 2014.

After a strict evaluation, the inspection team approved Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park as a national 4A-level scenic spot. The inspection team also hoped that Tian’e county can actively integrate with the construction of the Bama Longevity National Tourism Area and further improve the comprehensive service functions.
