Guangxi's annual task of rural drinking water construction exceeds 80 percent

The Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is taking fully advantage of the favorable construction season and striving to complete its annual construction task.

By Nov 28, the accumulative construction investment in the whole autonomous region had reached 2.218 billion yuan ($360.6 million), accounting for 89.2 percent of the annual plan. The completed number of constructions has reached 3,980 and more than 2.86 million rural people have started to have safe drinking water, accounting for 81.9 percent of the annual task.

The paid-in investment for the whole region has been 2.38 billion yuan, 95.7 percent of the gross investment plan. The started constructions have numbered 5,576, amounting to 99.7 percent of the plan.

The investment completion rates of the cities in Guangxi are as follows: Hechi with 95.1 percent, Fangchenggang with 94.4 percent, Chongzuo with 94.3 percent, Liuzhou with 91.9 percent, Yulin with 91.2 percent, Wuzhou with 90.6 percent, Guilin with 90.5 percent, Beihai with 90.2 percent, Baise with 88.5 percent, Hezhou with 86.9 percent, Laibin with 85.3 percent, Guigang with 85.3 percent, Qinzhou with 84.9 percent and Nanning with 79.7 percent.

The top 10 counties (cities, districts) of the investment completion rate in Guangxi are: Liuzhou’s Rong’an county, Hechi’s Jinchengjiang district, Guilin’s Xiangshan and Xiufeng districts, Fangchenggang’s Dongxing city, Hechi’s Dahua Yao autonomous county – all with 100 percent; Guilin’s Xing’an county with 98.9 percent, Lingui county with 98 percent, Pingle county with 97.7 percent and Hechi’s Donglan county with 96.9 percent.
