Wei Guiyuan: Build ecological tourism brand of ‘One River and Four City’

Wei Guiyuan, county clerk of Tian’e in Hechi, Guangxi, went to Longtan Grand Canyon to investigate the local ecological tourism industry on Oct 27. He said that Tian’e county should make full use of its ecological resources and try to build the “One River and Four City” ecological tourism brand in order to boost the local tourism industry.

Wei climbed the Longtan Grand Canyon and researched ecological tourism resources in the Grand Canyon Scenic Spot. Wei praised the local tourism department for their preliminary work in the construction of the scenic area. He also pointed out that the advantage of the tourism industry in Tian’e is ecological resources. The construction of the Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park, Dashan Primary Forest, Swallow Lake and other ecological scenic spots have achieved their initial goals. The development of the local ecological tourism industry also helped to improve the local agricultural industries and bring benefit to local farmers.

Wei said that the local tourism department should protect local ecological resources and try their best to build the brand of the Hongshui River and brand of the “City of Hydroelectricity, City of Fresh Air, City of Ecological Resources and City of Flowers and Fruits” in order to attract more foreign tourists and boost the local tourism industry.

Wei emphasized that governmental departments should follow the ideas and targets mentioned in the tourism conference, striving to develop local tourism, improving the quality of service and promoting the publicity of tourism in Tian’e county.
