Luocheng is located in the northern part of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. It is the only Mulam ethnic group autonomous county in China. On Nov 23, Luocheng will hold a ceremony to celebrate its 30th birthday.
After 30-years of continuous effort and exploration, Luocheng has gained new achievements in economic development under the direction of its ethnic policies. Projects of water conservancy, energy resources and ecological economy have all been implemented smoothly. Luocheng has developed from an agricultural county into an ethnic group autonomous county with balanced and sustainable primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
Luocheng has insisted on a people-oriented policy for the past 30 years. It continuously improves people’s livelihoods and guarantees their benefits. Therefore, Luocheng has harvested plentiful achievements in various fields such as education, sanitation, culture and sports.
A total of 12 ethnic groups, such as Mulam, Zhuang, Miao, Yao and Dong ethnic groups, live in Luocheng. It focuses on the theme of “jointly struggling to achieve prosperity and development” in order to promote cultural exchanges and realize harmonious development among the different ethnic groups.
