The news conference of the fifth Bama International Longevity Cultural Tourism Festival was held on Oct 20 in Nanning. Journalists from a total of 38 news media, such as People's Daily, Guangxi Agency of China News Service, China National Radio and China Tourism News were present at the conference.

The news conference provided detailed information on the development of the tourism industry in Bama Yao autonomous county. Many news agencies asked questions about the tourism festival and local tourism industry, which Lan Feining, the Bama county magistrate, explicitly answered one by one.

The tourism festival was on the theme of “Holy Water in Bama is the Secret of Longevity”. It held an investment conference and an evening party for the opening ceremony on Oct 31. It also held a series of activities such as a High-end Forum of Bama Aquatic Product Industry Development and Planning, an inauguration ceremony of Bama Lilang’s “God of Water” Sculpture and a signing ceremony of the Protection of Panyang River Campaign on Nov 1.

Since August, Bama county has already started to hold its “Water Worship Chinese Valentine’s Day” traditional folk activity, wisdom travel activity and many other special activities with local characteristics to get well prepared for the tourism festival.

Tan Juan, the deputy director general of the Market Department in Guangxi’s Tourism Development and Reform Commission, attended the news conference.
