Hechi government portal English website （www.chinadaily.com.cn/m/hechi） went officially on line on Sept 26.

Hechi has over one million net citizens and about 500 websites right now. To comply with the requirement of the development of the network information age, the Hechi government successively established 13 government portal websites, one news website (www.hcwang.cn/), four official micro-blogs and two WeChat platforms. The Hechi government portal English website has six main sections and nine sub-sections.

Hechi municipal publicity department held a press conference that afternoon. Li Li, deputy mayor of Hechi, said that the opening up of the English website is to construct a favorable public opinion environment for Hechi’s economic and social development. It is of great significance for further enhancing Hechi’s international transmission capacity and enlarging its global popularity, reputation and influence.

Representatives from almost 10 media such as the Xinhua News Agency, China Daily and Guangxi Daily, attended the press conference.
