Hechi delegation sees good results in Guangxi Women and Children Health Care Skill Competition

The Hechi delegation ranked seventh among 23 delegations in the Guangxi Women and Children Health Care Skill Competition in Nanning on Sept 11. The four contestants of the Hechi delegation performed remarkably. Huang Hui from the Nandan Maternal and Children Care Service Center took first place in the child health care competition.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the Maternal and Infant Health Care Law. The Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has held a series of activities named the “Guangxi’s Women and Children Health Care Promotion Activity” to promote the knowledge of health care and improve the health condition of women and children. Hechi has paid great attention to the activity. It holds the health care skill competition on the theme of “Care for Women and Children, Achieve Happiness in Every Family” to enhance the knowledge and skills of health care service staff in Hechi.

The Hechi health bureau, together with the Hechi population and family planning commission and the Hechi Federation of Trade Unions, established a competition working committee to formulate and improve the implementation plan of the competition. More than 520 medical workers from 11 different counties participated in the selective trials. Four contestants were selected to represent Hechi to compete in the Gunangxi Women and Children Health Care Skill Competition in Nanning.

The selective trials of the health care skill competition examined the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills of medical workers and also improved the health care condition of women and children in Hechi.
