Dahua develops autonomous-level agricultural demonstration district

The leading group of the modern agricultural demonstration district in Dahua Yao autonomous county was established on Sept 10, marking the beginning of the construction of the demonstration district. The members of the leading group are elite cadres selected from different counties. They are in charge of delivering materials, following-up design plans and land transfers, and providing organizational guarantees for the development of the demonstration district.

Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region plans to develop 20 autonomous-level modern agricultural demonstration districts, two of which are in Dahua and Du’an counties in Hechi.

The Dahua modern agricultural demonstration district covers the area of Gugan, Jingshan, Shangqi, Chunxing, Liangshan, Shuangpai, Dawu, Liushui village and Dahua. The core area of the demonstration district is from Jingshan village to Shangqi village as well as Dahua community, occupying 3200 mu (213.3 hectares). The development area includes Chunxing, Liangshan and Shuangpai villages, with an area of 5700 mu. The development of the demonstration district will increase the income of local farmers and boost the local economy.
