Kaiyang sees strong results in beautifying urban environment

In recent years, Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been working to beautify its urban environment and strengthen its cultural atmosphere by improving publicity and supervision, and refining its governance model.

Specifically, the county has gotten more residents to adhere to civilized behaviors in public places via slogans and comics that promote the construction of a civilized city in squares, parks and residential areas.

Furthermore, Kaiyang has formed a new model for digital urban management operation and improved its refined, standardized, and scientific urban management by installing video surveillance probes in the county and providing intercoms and other communication equipment for urban management team members.

Meanwhile, government departments of the county have jointly rectified violations such as road occupation, road markets, and disorderly parking. To date, a total of 68 road sections have been cleared and over 200 road safety violations have been addressed. 

Kaiyang has achieved long-term effective governance of the county and significantly improved the urban environment, thus enhancing the county's image and making the county more livable for its residents.
