Nanjiang township works to build livable and business-friendly villages

Since the beginning of this year, Nanjiang township in Kaiyang county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been working to improve its rural living environment, promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and cultivate a new cultural atmosphere in its rural areas, aiming to build livable, business-friendly and harmonious villages.

The township has carried out regular sanitation improvement actions, cleaning up neglected areas on main roads, streets and alleys, the front and back of houses, and field ditches in local villages.

As of now, Nanjiang has built up five high-quality demonstration areas and renovated 61 houses and 207 livable farmhouses. In addition, a total of 118 toilets have been renovated, with eight garbage collection and transportation stations upgraded.

Meanwhile, the township has worked hard to develop its tourism industry, to contribute to building a national-level tourist resort in Kaiyang. It also focuses on establishing an industrial layout with the loquat industry as the core to promote its agricultural development and increase its people's incomes.

Furthermore, a total of 12 rural libraries and seven new era civilization practice institutes have been built and put into use in Nanjiang. In 2023, 90 civilization practice activities were carried out.
