Reunion of elderly and young to welcome festivals

As the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day approach, Zixing sub-district of Kaiyang county recently organized an event where the elderly and children gathered to celebrate and enjoy an unforgettable feast.

The event began with volunteers explaining the origins of the Mid-Autumn Festival and its customs, such as moon worship, lantern appreciation, and riddle guessing. At the same time, various mooncake ingredients were prepared for a DIY snow-skin mooncake activity, allowing them to get more involved. The riddle guessing segment was also lively, and those who guessed correctly had the chance to participate in a lottery to win some prizes.

While celebrating National Day with songs and dances, children recited patriotic poems, and the elderly expressed their love for the country by singing folk songs and playing waist drums.

At last, everyone joined together in a chorus of "Sing to the Motherland," offering their blessings for the country's birthday.
