Project worth 2.19b yuan to break ground in Kaiyang

The Julisheng Kaiyang Project, with a total investment of approximately 2.19 billion yuan ($300.03 million), is expected to commence construction in Shuangliu town, Kaiyang county in Guiyang, in October. The project is being funded and developed by Guizhou Julisheng Biochemical Co (Guizhou Julisheng), a subsidiary of Sichuan Julisheng Biochemical Co (Sichuan Julisheng).

The project will include a production center scheduled to commence construction in October that will produce 100,000 metric tons of potassium hydroxide annually and cost approximately 800 million yuan to build.

This center will feature Guizhou's first potassium hydroxide production line, filling a gap in Guizhou's high-end fine phosphate industry, and it is expected to create jobs for over 200 people.

In addition to the potassium hydroxide production center, the project will also see the production of sulfuric acid, wet-process phosphoric acid, potassium phosphate salt, and more.

After the entire project is completed, the expected annual output value is expected to reach 10 billion yuan, with tax revenues of 500 million yuan.

The successful implementation of the project is attributed to the Guiyang municipal bureau of investment promotion. The bureau determined that Sichuan Julisheng, a downstream industry of fine phosphate chemicals, was seeing significant demand for high-quality phosphate ore resources, while Kaiyang county is one of three major phosphate ore production areas in the country.

After extensive communication and efforts from multiple parties, Guizhou Julisheng signed the project investment agreement with Kaiyang on Oct 20 of last year.

The relevant person in charge of the bureau said that Guiyang has consistently been consolidating various resources and employing multiple approaches to attract investment. The successful establishment of the Julisheng Kaiyang project serves as a vivid example of Guiyang's efforts to attract investment.
