Online meeting promotes Kaiyang selenium-rich products

An online business promotion meeting for the Yinxiang Xizhou brand of Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held on June 1.

The meeting was jointly organized by the Guiyang Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Kaiyang county government.

It aimed to promote Kaiyang's brand of selenium-rich products.

Around 99.91 percent of the soil in Kaiyang county is rich in selenium, and the selenium content of animals and plants is between 0.05 and 0.28 mg/kg, which meets the United Nations Health Organization's selenium content standard for health food.

The selenium-rich rice, oil and tea produced in the county have won the esteemed title of China Organic Food.

During the meeting, selenium-rich products produced in Kaiyang were shown to purchasers through online channels, with locally-produced loquat being promoted through livestreams.
