Industrial projects funded by Guizhou Shengwei Kaiyang Chemical Co – based in Kaiyang county in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – are currently undergoing rapid construction.

The company plans to invest 5 billion yuan ($750.19 million) to build green circular economy development projects involving titanium, phosphorus, sulfur, iron, calcium and lithium in Kaiyang.

Currently, a 250,000-metric-ton annual battery iron phosphate production line is under construction.

The project started at the end of July last year and the main body of the oxidation synthesis plant and membrane filtration plant has been built.

Further work – involving wall laying and plastering, equipment installation on the second floor of the oxidative synthesis plant and the assembly of an ammonium sulfate concentration and crystallization plant  – is expected to be completed in late August.

When it's ramped up to full capacity, the plant is expected to generate an annual output value of 1.2 billion yuan and pay taxes of 50 million yuan.

Meanwhile, the company's new phosphogypsum acid production facility in Kaiyang has completed 90 percent of its construction and it is expected to be ready for trial production by the end of July this year.

The project will consume 500,000 tons of phosphogypsum annually after the project reaches production capacity, making a positive contribution to the development of Kaiyang's eco-friendly industries.
