Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 241,000 tourist visits during the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, according to the county's culture, sports, radio, television and tourism bureau.

A total of 230,000 visits were made to the county's rural areas during the holiday from April 3 to 5.

Replying on its abundance of tourism attractions, Kaiyang launched spring travel routes revolving around admiring flowers, vacation and sightseeing.

The travel routes were popular among tourists, increasing optimism for the recovery of the county's culture and tourism market.

The county's well-known scenic spots, including the Nanjing Grand Canyon, Monkey ear-shaped Tiankeng and Tea-themed tourism resort, also introduced discounted tickets and a variety of activities to draw in tourists.

To ensure safety and order during the holiday, Kaiyang set up tourism consulting and complaint hotlines and strengthened inspection and supervision of tourism markets.

Over the holiday, both Kaiyang's cultural tourism market and safety remained strong, with no tourism safety incidents or complaints being reported.
