Maoyun obtains 'forest township' honor

Maoyun township – located in Kaiyang county, administered by Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – was recently granted the honorary title of "Guizhou Forest Township and County in 2021", becoming one of 85 to obtain the honor this year. 

The list was drawn up jointly by the Guizhou Provincial Greening Committee Office and the Guizhou Bureau of Forestry.

Maoyun township is 79 km away from Guiyang and its terrain is complex and diverse – high in the south, low in the north, rich in mountains, rivers and in selenium.

It was one of the first production centers identified for pollution-free agricultural products in Guiyang.
