China Mobile backs media development in Kaiyang

China Mobile's Kaiyang branch will provide technical support for the Kaiyang Media Convergence Center, according to an agreement signed on Dec 12 between the two sides.

The partners will integrate advanced technologies such as 5G, 4K, cloud computing and big data, with new media platform. They will try to improve the media's influence and meet the increasing reading demands of locals.

Officials said the two sides will carry out cooperation in terms of 5G new media applications and HD live streaming -- with resource sharing and mutual benefits as a target.

They will work together to make innovations in key technologies that will be used in the media industry.
