Matou village celebrated as key tourist village

Guiyang's Matou village has become one of the key tourist villages in the province, according to a list issued by the Guizhou province's culture, tourism and development reform department.

Located in the south of Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, Matou village is a tourism dominated town.

Rich in tourism resources, it is located in the upper reaches of the Shilihualang rural scenic area.

Locals say the village is most famous for its ancient buildings, tea plantation sightseeing and farming culture.

Matou ancient village complex has been included in the fourth batch of famous historical and cultural villages.
