Kaiyang holds meeting on population census

Guizhou's Kaiyang county held a population census meeting on Oct 22, in order to try to identify and solve problems through data analysis, according to local officials.

The meeting pointed out the area's anti-poverty work has entered its final stages.

Officials said Kaiyang county should grasp the opportunity presented by the population census to solve its main problems in an all-round manner.

Local officials added that Kaiyang will make sure all its poor people are lifted out of poverty, according to national standards.

The meeting stressed that every effort be made to support the population census work.

The officials said the county was expected to identify its problems and move to solve them, resolutely accomplishing all its objectives and tasks.

The meeting called for the rapid deployment of personnel and in-depth communications in the census process.

After the meeting, the county poverty alleviation and development center trained participants on how to input entries into the online population census system.
