Hefeng becomes one of China's most beautiful townships

Southwest China's Hefeng township has become one of China's most beautiful towns, according to a list issued by the China Internet News Center.

Hefeng village triumphed, together with other towns in the 2019 Splendid China List, after a series of evaluation and voting processes.

Located in the south of Kaiyang county, in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, Hefeng is an agricultural and tourism-dominated town.

The township is rich in tourism resources, local officials said. These include the provincial scenic spot Xianghuoyan Canyon, the stunning rural scenery of Qinglong River and the national key cultural relics protection site – the Matou ancient buildings.

Officials said the town, inhabited by Bouyei and Miao ethnic groups, has vigorously implemented the strategy of rural vitalization and made remarkable progress in both industrial development and environmental improvement.
