Huaxi citizens enjoy more convenient transportation

With the completion of the Hulupo Parking Lot at Huaxi Shizi Street and the underpass connecting the underground mall at Huaxi Park to Huaxi Station on Guiyang Metro Line 3, the convenience of parking and transportation in Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been further enhanced.

The Hulupo Parking Lot is an underground parking facility with one entrance and one exit. The total floor area is nearly 10,000 square meters, including 145 mechanical parking spaces and 105 surface parking spaces.

Construction commenced in 2022 and, after 14 months of construction, the parking lot was put into operation on New Year's Day 2024. It can meet the parking needs of both local residents and tourists in the vicinity.

The underpass was put into use on Dec 30, 2023. It has not only improved transportation convenience but also increased the popularity of the underground mall.

Zhang Yingying, the operation manager of the Huaxi underground mall management office, said that the mall used to receive around 10,000 visits per day, but now it receives over 20,000 per day. On weekends and holidays, it can see as many as 40,000-50,000 visits.
