Huaxi aims for agricultural modernization, tourism industrialization

Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a conference on the promotion of its agricultural modernization and tourism industrialization on June 22.

Li Rui, Party secretary of Huaxi district, said that agricultural modernization is an important foundation for realizing new industrialization, new urbanization, and tourism industrialization, and that the development of tourism industrialization provides a broad space for new industrialization, new urbanization, and agricultural modernization.

He said that it is necessary to cultivate a number of agricultural brands, improve the efficiency of Huaxi's agricultural product brand, and increase product market competitiveness.

The district will develop the intensive processing of agricultural products, increase the added value of agricultural products, and balance farmers' incomes with enterprises' profits and governments' tax increases.

It will promote matchmaking between tourism and local specialty products to improve the core competitiveness of Huaxi tourism, improve basic supporting services, and increase the supply of high-quality tourism supporting resources.
