The tax department of Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has implemented tax relief, targeting specific industries in towns and villages, in order to help reduce poverty.
The department is also using its WeChat public account and WeChat groups to promote its services, advise people and to assist taxpayers with business development needs.

It has also been vigorously promoting poverty alleviation in rural areas, providing counsel on tax-related problems and making online tax services the new normal.
Officials said that in addition, it has communicated with local financial departments and key industrial parks to learn about local needs in advance.
They added that it has also given advice to taxpayers related to tax declarations, the receipt of invoices and on policies, enabling its customers to benefit from the tax services in a timely manner.

The district tax department will continue to create a favorable business environment by improving its communications and publicity, as well as levels of service, with the focus on improving infrastructure, as well as helping agriculture-related industries, entrepreneurship and employment.
