Construction for China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) in Guangzhou's Huangpu district has gained new progress as buildings of over 310,000 square meters are being torn down in a three-day project starting from April 22.
The project, involving 1,300 houses, mainly covers three communities, namely Longhu Street, Jiufo Street, and Xinlong Street. It will enable the further construction of a batch of high-end industrial projects and quality modern living communities.
The year 2020 marks the 10 year anniversary of the construction of CSGKC and CSGKC will devote more efforts in attracting high-end innovation resources, such as headquarters economy projects and research institutes, striving to achieve an annual investment of more than 50 billion yuan ($7.07 billion) this year.
The construction of eight rail traffic lines, five expressways, and seven city expressways in Huangpu district will be accelerated, as well as the construction of local medical facilities and schools.
Sponge city and smart city elements will be integrated in the construction to realize 100 percent green architecture in the area.
